re–inc SS/22 'Reimagine Your City'

Pentagram’s Eddie Opara and team have collaborated on Reimagine Your City, a new collection from re―inc, the lifestyle brand co-founded by world champion US women's national soccer team members Tobin Heath, Christen Press and Megan Rapinoe and former member Meghan Klingenberg.
The collection is inspired by the athletes, artists and activists who reimagine their cities through small and large acts. Change begins locally, and the collection centers on four cities where the re―inc co-founders and community have lived and made their mark—New York, London, Los Angeles, and Portland. Not based in one of these places? Reimagine whenever, wherever with a fifth location, “Anywhere.”

I developed the concept of using badges to represent each city, designing shapes and graphics inspired by their distinctive architecture and culture. For London, I incorporated the 0°0′ mark of GMT as a starting point, drawing on influences from Zaha Hadid and Anish Kapoor, as well as references to local typography.
